Special Award Judges
When a corporation, professional group, or private individuals sponsor an award, they have representatives from their organization attend the fair to choose their winners. These people are considered Special Awards Judges. They only review projects and select winners that are eligible for their particular award.
Special Awards Judges follow the regular Fair Day schedule which begins at 8:00 AM. Judges review project displays in the morning. Around noon, the students arrive and join their projects for the interview portion of judging. Once the Special Awards Judges choose their winners, they report the results to the Director of Awards and Scholarships.
Many organizations have designed their own judging form to focus on the specific criteria for their awards. DVSF also offers our own form to assist any judges with evaluating projects.
