The Role of a Mentor
Student research projects are often complex, and mentors supply a vital role in helping students meet their goals. The task need not be a great demand on your time. Laboratory assistance and specialized equipment are optimal for some projects, but not usually required. A phone conversation or email with the student might suffice.
The mentoring program is monitored carefully. Mentored students are expected to meet with their teachers or sponsors regularly and report on the progress of their investigation. We are available to you throughout the process.
Mentors are key to the learning experience. A small portion of your time can make a lifetime difference for a student.
